Acacia Meyer

Acacia is a sophomore majoring in Psychology with a minor in Social Science Quantitative Data Analytics. After graduation, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to become a pain psychologist. She is interested in learning about mental health and chronic illness. In her free time, Acacia enjoys working out, spending free time with friends, and reading.

Adeline Elute

Adeline is a senior at MSU majoring in Psychology and Business. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and work towards becoming a practicing clinical psychologist. Her research interests primarily lie in psychopathology and cognition. During her free time, you might catch her traveling, spending time outdoors, going to the movies or hanging out with friends.

Anum Latif

Anum is a freshman in Lyman Briggs College currently planning on majoring in Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience. She is passionate about mental health, specifically in adolescent care, and is interested in learning more about the mind-body relationship as she continues her studies. Outside of academics, she is an avid reader, skier, and enjoys cooking and baking!

Ben Chandler

Ben is a fifth-year student double majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience with a Cognitive Science minor. After graduation, he plans to attend an MD/PhD program with the hopes of becoming a psychiatrist and neuropsychologist. As a scientist, he wants to research how the brain gives rise to the mind and use this knowledge to inform innovative clinical practice. In his free time, Ben likes to listen to music, play piano, ride his longboard, and hit the gym.

Feng Liang

Feng is currently a junior majoring in Psychology and Philosophy at MSU. He is interested in the field of cognitive psychology and clinical psychology because he is curious about the mind and the ways of affecting it. After graduation, he would like to attend graduate school and help to consult people in the future. In his private time, he likes to sing, play the guitar, and dance.

Genevieve Ngo

Genevieve is a Senior at MSU majoring in physiology. She has a great interest in learning and is curious about understanding the inner workings of the human body and mind. After undergrad, she is planning to attend medical school and pursue a career in Emergency Medicine. During her free time, she likes to find ways to be active and express herself through arts, crafts, dance, and sports.

Jason Kazmierczak

Jason is a senior at MSU studying neuroscience and psychology with minors in bioethics and cognitive science. In the future, he plans to attend graduate school to become a clinical psychologist. He is particularly interested in researching the treatment of mental illness and trauma. In his spare time, he is likely teaching biology, playing video games, spending time outdoors, watching an awful scary movie, or hanging out with his friends and cat.

Jenny Warkentien

Jenny is a senior at MSU majoring in Psychology with minors in Cognitive Science and Human Behavior and Social Services. After graduation, she aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology to administer research and/or practice clinically. She is primarily interested in researching novel interventions for psychopathology (e.g., PTSD, anxiety, depression). She hopes to narrow down those interests through her experience working as an RA. During her free time, she likes to go hiking, dance, and cook.

Jillian is a senior majoring in Psychology with minors in Cognitive Science and Bioethics. She plans to pursue a Psy.D. in clinical psychology, with a focus on trauma related psychological disorders. In her free time, Jillian would prefer to be skiing out west, but when that isn’t possible, she enjoys reading and watching The Crown.

After graduation, She plans to go to graduate school in hopes to study and research the treatment of mental disorders. Kristie Boynton

Kristie is a senior double majoring in Psychology and Mathematics with minors in Data Science and Quantitative Data Analytics. She’s interested in developmental psychopathology, and hopes to be able to research more targeted interventions for treating mood and other mental disorders in children and adolescents. After graduation, she hopes to pursue her Ph.D., but for now, you’ll catch her baking, collecting houseplants, gaming, and watching quality garbage movies.

Lauren Bresky

Lauren is a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Behavior and Social Services. In the future she plans to obtain her PhD in clinical psychology and start her own therapy practice. Lauren’s research interests include understanding how mental health has physical impacts on the body and stress. Lauren is very passionate about increasing access and equity for mental health services. Lauren enjoys reading, watching MSU sports, and spending time outdoors.

Ling (she/her) is a first year DO medical student at MSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated from MSU in 2019 with a BS in Psychology and was a member of the Clinical Psychophysiology Lab throughout her undergraduate career. She ultimately hopes to apply her experience and knowledge to her practice as an osteopathic physician.

Megan Jensen

Megan is a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Behavior and Social Services. She is interested in clinical psychology and more specifically, anxiety-related mental health disorders within adolescents and adults and the different treatment options for anxiety disorders. After graduation, she hopes to go to graduate school and pursue a master’s or Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology. In her free time, Megan loves spending time with her family playing board games, watching The Office, and supporting her brother who is a professional esports gamer!

Nicholas Yoshida

Nick is a senior at MSU studying Neuroscience and Psychology. He is passionate about caring for the youth while focusing on family/social support systems and how mental health care differs cross-culturally. After graduation, he plans on attending graduate school as he pursues a career in mental health, focusing on being a practitioner. In his spare time, he enjoys being involved in his campus ministry, learning dishes he can’t pronounce, and training Judo.

Zac is a junior with a double major in Physiology and Psychology. He is interested in how habits of physical health (exercise, sleep, diet, mindfulness, etc.) influence mood regulation and overall cognitive performance. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school to become a physician. Outside of school, his favorite things to do are golf, go to the gym, and spend time outdoors with friends.
